Her grand dam, Zydeco is a personal favorite of mine in the Nigerian world, so we feel so lucky to have her grand daughter in our herd!

Kenzie is my little Whimsy Woods Rockstar! She has excelled in everything we have challenged her with. As a FF, Kenzie earned her milk star in butterfat and protein at only half way through her lactation, and is well on her way to finishing her production milk star thereby earning her her AR star as a first freshener. She has also placed consistently in the top 3 of every show ring she has entered (on many occasions competing against 2nd fresheners). We are so extremely proud of her, and goats like her are what we strive to produce in our herd. We cannot see what her future holds!

We could not resist adding Zayla to our herd when we looked at her pedigree. She is the granddaughter of NC Promiseland SIA Zena 3*M, who graced the dairy world with phenomenal offspring like Sugar Moon V Zuzanna and Sugar Moon V High Roller. To own one of her grand daughters is something we could have only wished for when we started our herd years ago. Zayla still has a ton of growing to do, but is extremely long, level and angular. She has the most soft elastic skin out of anyone in our herd (which tends to be seen in those higher production lines). We are very much anticipating her freshening in the spring of 2023!

This gorgeous girl is jokingly called "Honey Badger" around our farm, because true to a honey badger's personality, she is just her own little person and not at all ashamed of it! She joined us in the spring of 2021 along with her daughter Sans Gene V Beignet (seen below). She is absolutely beautiful to watch walk around the pasture, and although she is not the friendliest goat in our herd, she's slowly learning that she's not hating the Whimsy Woods' way of living (with lots of attention and cuddles when she lets us!). We are very excited to eventually get this girl back in the show ring after she freshens again next year!

Oh, Cricket.. she is literally one of a kind. The first time we shaved her completely down we both looked at each other and said "wow....". With one of the longest bodies in our herd, this girl is really a total package type of goat for us. She is not only beautiful conformationally, but has a beautiful spirit to match and will frequently place her head against you and stare up at you with those beautiful brown eyes of hers. Cricket traveled from Washington state along with Sans Gene ST Badger, Sans Gene V Beignet and a few other Sans Gene members in the spring of 2021. She will be having her first east coast babies in the fall of 2021 and we are very excited to get her on the stand and on milk test to showcase what she is known for doing best- making gobs of milk!

With one of the longest bodies in our herd, this girl is really a total package type of goat for us. She is not only beautiful conformationally, but has a beautiful spirit to match and will frequently place her head against you and stare up at you with those beautiful brown eyes of hers. Cricket traveled from Washington state along with Sans Gene ST Badger, Sans Gene V Beignet and a few other Sans Gene members in the spring of 2021. She will be having her first east coast babies in the fall of 2021 and we are very excited to get her on the stand and on milk test to showcase what she is known for doing best- making gobs of milk!

Oh our beautiful Del... Del had a bit of a rough start into the milking world when she lost her first kid unexpectedly a week prior to her due date. We decided to go ahead and start milking her and add her to milk test so that she would not miss out on a year of being able to show. As a 3 year old first freshener she had extremely tough competition and was lacking capacity compared to the other three year olds in her classes (who have freshened more than once). Despite this, Del has consistently received extremely positive comments from the judges and we are excited to freshen her again and give her the opportunity to have a normal show year. Del is extremely dairy in build and very easy to milk. She is also very gentle and easy to handle. I see only good things to come in her future!
