The Flocks of Whimsy Woods Farm
We fell in love with raising chickens about 8 years ago, and still carry on with that passion today. We loved raising several breeds to create our beautiful "rainbow baskets". There is nothing better than the taste of pasture raised chicken eggs. The yolks are like nothing you can find in a store and are typically a very dark yellow to gold in color. We have various breeds on the farm that provide us with fresh eggs year round.
Unlike other egg farms, our girls are permitted to live out their lives on the farm after they are done laying. It is our way of thanking them for their years of "eggcellent" production to us. A lot of our girls lay regularly until they are 6 or so years old, then they get to enjoy retirement life (we still have some 10+ year old birds that run around with the youngsters).
